Jewess with Oranges is an oil-on-canvas painting by the Polish artist Aleksander Gierymski, completed in 1881 and purchased in 1928 by the National Museum in Warsaw. During the World War II looting of Poland, the painting was stolen by German forces, and the Polish authorities sought its whereabouts and its return after the war. On 26 November 2010, the painting appeared in an antique market in Buxtehude, Germany. The Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage began negotiations to bring the painting back to Poland.
